Photograph of a "departure by WRA escort in station wagon en route to Reno." The license plate is M115 and there are at least five people in the car with luggage tied on to the tailgate. Barracks and utility poles can be seen in the background as well as the Sierra Nevada. Quoted description is from the original photo album. The collection was donated by Ralph "Pete" Merritt, Jr. and Patricia Merritt. It is comprised of photographs from an album created by L. Josephine Hawes, the Chief Nurse at the Manzanar Hospital, and individual photographs collected by Ralph P. Merritt, the Project Director of the Manzanar War Relocation Center.
