Description
Five women are depicted. The top left woman wears a pink bonnet accented with white feathers. Her hair is dressed in ringlets. She wears a light blue dress trimmed with zigzags with a decollete neck and narrow, cuffed, long sleeves and carries a tied green book or portfolio. The top middle woman wears a blue bonnet with three white and blue plumes. Her yellow dress has a white lace chelsea collar and white lace cuffs. She also wears pale blue gloves. The top right woman wears a yellow bonnet with a yellow plume and a green dress with a decollete neck with lace edging. She wears a red and white checked shawl. The bottom left woman wears a white bonnet accented with a pale pink plume and pink and white flowers inside the brim. Her blue dress has a deep cape collar with tasseled ties, and looped trim. She has yellow gloves and carries a white handkerchief. The bottom right woman wears a blue bonnet accented with pink flowers and a tan and brown pinstriped dress with a deep shawl collar accented with double rows of blue edging and trim on the center front. She wears a white pleated and lace edged collar with an oval brooch.
