Description
Connie and Ciji begin the interview discussing the narrative’s plot, the importance of the setting in New Orleans, and how Ciji used her own familial and educational background to write the novel. They move on to talk about the racial history of New Orleans and how that history is woven into her story, and the significance of Ciji’s career in journalism as it relates to certain aspects of the novel. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
