This is a photograph of "Fr. Francis Mullen, M.M. with the elderly at the Maryknoll Mission, Fushun, Manchukuo." Some of the seated people have crutches to help them walk. They are posed in front of a one story brick building with windows. It has a tile roof and dormers. Rev. Mullen was born in Pittston, PA. He entered The Venard, Maryknoll's Apostolic College, in 1919, and was ordained in 1928. He was assigned to Fushun, Manchuria, returning to the U.S. in 1937. He returned to Manchuria in 1939 and was repatriated aboard the Swedish refugee ship Gripsholm in 1942.
