Republican mural, Beechmount Avenue, West Belfast, 1985. Left and Right of mural: "PIRA' (Provisional Irish Republican Army); top of mural, Gaelic text reads: 'Stad Maggie Anois!' (Stop Maggie Now) - reference to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher; mural depicts map of Ireland with British hand stealing Northern Ireland/Ulster, being prevented by Irish hand. Heavy local graffiti - and paintbombed.
