Photograph caption dated July 20, 1965 reads, "Larry Dierker, former Taft High pitching ace who was signed and went directly to major league baseball with the Houston Astros, exhibits his form for some of the West Valley Little League ball players yesterday at Franklin Field in Encino. Dierker is a product of this league."
