Photograph caption dated April 26, 1954 reads, "Walt Disney (left) waves from stagecoach as he rides at head of the procession in the Desert Circus parade in Palm Springs. He was grand marshall. Palm Springs was jammed with visitors over the weekend, attracted by Circus activities."
