Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on October 7, 1979 states: "Lottie Anderson sits in kitchen area of her one-room hovel in Robinson Rancheria. The house leaks, has no inside water. An outhouse is shared with the house behind them. Her husband, Ivan, was in bed, oblivious to the clutter surrounding him. Neighbors say he is dying. . . . "
