Photograph caption dated July 20, 1960 reads, "Dave Davis of Canoga Park, who will represent the United States in the Olympic Games shotput at Rome, starts Joy Konseck and Brad Smith off on 'The Flying Fish' ride at Pacific Ocean Park where he temporarily is employed as operator by ride owner Robert Gayer." Davis is a student at San Fernando Valley State College. Pacific Ocean Park is in Santa Monica.
