Image shows view of the J. Boyd Comstock residence, located on Via la Selva on lot 31, block 1800, tract 7539, in Malaga Cove. View looking southwest shows front of the single-story, five-room stone tile house with chimney, attached garage, and tile roof. A stone tile wall encloses the front patio and eucalyptus trees surround the house. An automobile is visible at far right. Boyd Comstock was a well known tract coach at the University of Southern California . The home's builders are given as Whiting-Boynton-Potts on the building permit card. The house was later owned by Henry Hodge.
