Description
2-piece wool gabardine bodice and skirt, in olive green and navy plaid with a gold stripe, and solid navy blue wool, lined with navy blue polished cotton and tan wool. Bodice is primarily solid navy blue, trimmed in the plaid, with puffed, petal-shaped upper sleeve in the blue, edged with a 1-inch strip of the plaid, over long fitted, shaped sleeves in the navy blue, with 4 fabric-covered buttons at each wrist. Navy blue satin ribbon bow on each shoulder seam. Collar is a fold-over style. Bodice front trimmed in navy blue fabric-covered buttons down side fronts, with pleated faux-blouse in the plaid at the center front, with functional, decorative floral, buttons in black metal. Waistline is a rounded point in the front, and sharp point in the back with a navy blue satin bow at center back. Inside bodice lined with tan cotton and boned with metal stays, with brown waist stay tape. No label. Small self-fabric loop in the plaid, possibly for a watch hook or chain, sewn at center front on the right side at the bust line. Skirt is in the olive plaid, lined with polished cotton, fastens with double hook and eye at waistline. No trim.
