The subject of this oral history recording, Jane Esperance, is a descendant of early pioneering families in the Maine Prairie and Binghamton areas south of Dixon, CA. Her story shares her memories growing up in a farming family in Dixon. Her remembrances are important in their relationship to the development of the agricultural economy and early farming settlements of California.
