Photo caption reads: "Clad in purest white, children of the Los Angeles Orphanage are shown when they added their pleas for the repose of the soul of Sister Cecilia at the solemn requiem high mass held July 13, 1940, in St. Vincent's Church. They were joined by a throng of others, many of whom, like these children, knew Sister Cecilia as their "Mother." She had been Mother Superior of the orphanage for many years".
