Title supplied by cataloger. The architecture firm, Piper and Kahrs, designed the Broadlind Hotel in the Italian Renaissance style. Built in 1928, the hotel was intended to cater to bachelors and was furnished to appeal to the masculine tastes of the time with heavy furniture featuring a Spanish motif. The hotel has been declared Long Beach Historic Landmark 16.52.210. Exterior view of the Broadlind Hotel at 149 Linden Avenue, a four-story Italian Renaissance building. The penthouse on the corner gives the impression that the building has a tower. Arched street level windows are two stories high. The arches are set on square marble columns with Corinthian capitals and are connected with a braid that reaches from capital to capital. Cars are parked next to the palm tree in front of the entrance, left.
