Description
Anna Johnson discusses her book, “Handbags.” She begins by explaining how handbags can be a sociological study of women throughout history. Johnson explains her personal background with collecting handbags, starting with buying vintage bags from her mother’s second-hand store as a child. She brings in several of her handbags and explains the history of how she purchased them and who designed them. She talks about how this book took two years to write and discusses her background as a freelance journalist and her experiences traveling. Johnson ends the interview by showing her Hermès designer bag, and how she was put on a waiting list for 8 months before receiving the bag.
