Anita Elias (nee Salazar) grew up in Claremont, attending Claremont High School and worked at the College Heights Lemon packing house and later, the Claremont Inn. Mrs. Elias describes the Mexican-American community in town, as well as the East Barrio neighborhood in Claremont.
