9th and Broadway dresses up when the entire membership of the International Garment Workers Union, G.E.B., hold convention on the Pacific Coast for the first time. This is the heart of the metropolitan district where the textile industry begins. Numerous businesses on Broadway, including the Orpheum Theatre, are clearly visible in the image.
