Photograph caption dated September 8, 1964 reads, "Andy Van Tubbergen, 4, left, and his brother Charley, 6, joined in celebration of placing a four-way stop sign at intersection of Apperson Way and Mt. Gleason Avenue on the border of Sunland-Tujunga with Councilman Louis R. Nowell. Residents of the area had fought for years to get the signs to 'save lives.'"
