Title devised by cataloger based on note from donor Ernest Marquez; date devised by cataloger based on history of the building, which was built in approximately 1887, and the history of H.F. Rile, who first arrived in Southern California on December 20, 1887 (Ingersoll's century history, Santa Monica Bay Cities, page 443). Photographer supplied by cataloger based on stamp on verso of similar image (see photCL_555_01_1198).
