Description
Reagan thanks Brock for her continued support as he returns to California. RONALD REAGAN
February 13 1989
Dear Margaret:
Nancy and I want to thank you for your generous support in making our homecoming to California on January 20th a special one. It would not have been possible without you.
Our years in the White House have reaffirmed what we've always believed: Freedom works. It works because free people, under God, unite as citizens, builder, and members of families to create that Shining City on a Hill that our forebears saw from afar. As we return to California we do so with gratitude for your trust in us and an even deeper love for this vision of peace, freedom, and prosperity called America.
I enjoyed out visit here in the office and look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again for your help in this instance and for so many other things through the yeard. Nancy joins me in sending warmest personal regards.
Sincerely,
Ron

This collection was transferred to Pepperdine Libraries Special Collections and Archives in 2016 from the Pepperdine School of Law, where it had been stored (presumably) since Margaret Brock's death in 1997. A second accession of materials was found in the Margaret Brock Conference Room in 2017 and subsequently transferred to Special Collections.
