Description
Reagan informs Brock of his plan to announce his candidacy for president.
RONALD REAGAN November 10, 1979 Mrs. Margaret Martin Brock 1404 Century Towers West 2220 Avenue of the Stars Los Angeles, CA 90067 Dear Margaret: Just a personal note to tell you of my intention to formally declare my candidacy for President of the United States on November 13th. I will present my candidacy on a thirty minute tele-vision broadcast to be shown in most cities on the evening of the 13th. I hope you will take the time to watch. The problems of the 1980s, to stem inflation, restore the proper role of government and revitalize our nation’s economy are challenges to which I look forward. In the weeks and months ahead, I will outline my proposals for our nation. I am honored to have your support. Sincerely, Ronald Reagan RONALD REAGAN Reagan for President—United States Senator Paul Laxalt, Chairman; Bay Buchanan, Treasurer.
