Description
Banks "United California Bank uses a helicopter, here flying by the bank's 62 story headquarters building, to transport checks to the Los Angeles airport. By spending $6,000 a month to operate the helicopter, the bank figures it generates $6 million a day for investment by making sure the checks arrive at the airport in time to get to distant cities by the next morning. Then the checks are honored, converting UCB's float into available funds."
