Description
Starting as the South Bay Yachting Association in 1888, the organization changed its name and reorganized to become the South Bay Yacht Club in 1896. The Yacht Club's clubhouse is listed in the National Registry of Historical Buildings. The Club has operated continuously since its founding, though the Alviso slough is no longer dredged.
