Photograph caption dated December 14, 1961 reads "Bill Hayhoe of Birmingham (right) is still wondering about just what happened when he was mistakenly sent into game with play in a crucial moment of playoff game against San Pedro. Tenth grade fledging caught 17-yard pass to keep Brave drive sustained and finally victory. Bill is shown with his brother Jerry, one of the regular stars of the team." Birmingham High School is in Van Nuys.
