Photograph caption dated August 3, 1955 reads, "Climax of the short course swimming season will be the Junior Olympics, sponsored for the third time in three years by the Valley Times, at the Glendale Swimming School Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ribboned Olympic-type medals will reward the first, second and third place winners and among the strong contenders will be these natators from the Sherman Oaks Swim School, among the team powers in age group swimming since the Junior Olympics started.
