Description
Julie Buxbaum discusses her book, “The Opposite of Love.” She begins by explaining the plot of her book: a successful female lawyer named Emily who breaks up with her boyfriend and quits her job because she is looking for something more. Buxbaum describes how she opens her book with a flash-forward to the ending so you know the main character would end up all right. She talks about how she relates to her character Emily because they both lost their mothers at an early age and are both lawyers. Buxbaum discusses what it was like to be an attorney, but she quit so she could pursue her love for writing. She ends the interview by describing that the book took 8 months to write and how quickly she got published.
