Description: View 17: Exterior view of Samson Tire and Rubber Company building, also called "The Citadel." An industrial office and manufacturing plant, built as a walled Babylonian (or Assyrian) city; modeled after famous ziggurats and fortified walls of the ancient city of Khorsabad. Priest-Kings and other creatures adorn the walls. Construction work may be seen at the front of the building, right side of photo. In 1990, it became the Citadel Outlets. Building is located at 5675 Telegraph Road, in City of Commerce. Date built: 1929-30. Architects: Morgan, Walls and Clements. Photo dated: May 29, 1929.
