Description: Black and white photograph printed on a postcard showing two nurses from the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society standing outside their dispensary at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria. The nurses are dressed in white uniforms and pith hats with nets attached to them. One of the nurses (Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital) holds a parrot or parakeet on her arm. The nurse who stands to her left is Miss J Stringer. This image comes from a photograph collection kept by Emily Godfrey.
