Description
This photograph of the Fulton Market Savings Center was taken on June 27, 1936. The market, located at 2734 Y St., was part of a Sacramento-area chain of Fulton stores that grew to five as the 1930s came to an end. The principal owners of the chain were Yee Noon Chung, Ging Lee, Lee Noon Chung, and Ned Chinn. As time passed and the Second World War approached, several of the principals migrated to the defense industry or armed services and, by 1943, the chain had dissolved. Pictured is an employee dressed in work clothes, standing next to a delivery truck.
