Description
Two women and a girl are depicted in a salon. The little girl wears a black bowler hat with red edging and a red plume. Her dress is brown trimmed with fringe and a red circle design on the yoke of the dress and the skirt. The dress has long sleeves and ends just below her knee. She wears blue gloves and white stockings. Her white blouse has ruffles at the neck and wrists, and she wears a black choker. She is holding a stick and hoop. The woman in the center wears a tall, elaborate blue hat, decorated with dark blue velvet on light blue, with a large bow and a cascade of pink flowers. Her dress is dark blue velvet with light blue accents. Her jacket has long sleeves, a standing collar, and a peplum. Her white blouse has scalloped lace at the cuffs and a standing pleated collar. The skirt has alternating dark and light blue ruffles in horizontal rows and a train. The woman on the right sits in a red chair and has her hair dressed high, with a comb. Her dress is dark brown velvet with a high collar, long sleeves, and a train. The front section and cuffs of the sleeves are of cream or pale brown ruching.
