Photograph caption dated February 10, 1983 reads, "Orange County sheriff's deputies arrested 46 protesters who were blocking the road into the El Toro Marine Base yesterday. The peaceful protest, which included members from the Los Angeles Catholic Workers and the Alliance for Survival, was in response to a military strategy and security conference, titled "The Reagan Defense Posture: A Status Report," being held at the facility. Attending the conference were aerospace executives, military officials and Pentagon officials."
