Photograph article dated June 19, 1965 partially reads, "Byron Elvin Pierce has been held to answer on all five counts in the kidnap-mutilation of a 7-year-old Canoga Park boy. The charges are kidnapping, sex perversion, mayhem, child molesting and attempt to commit murder." Photograph caption reads, "Molester suspect - Byron E. Pierce leaves Childrens Hospital following his preliminary hearing yesterday, when his bail was set at $150,000 in the savage kidnap-mutilation of a 7-year-old Canoga Park youngster."; See image #00132052 for additional photo in this series.
