Photograph caption dated October 22, 1959 reads, "Jose De La Torre, 33, left, enters Van Nuys Jail with Det. Sgt. Richard Ruble after arraignment on attempt murder in stabbing of San Fernando grocer. He was arrested by FBI in New York. Judge reduced his bail from $10,000 to $2,500 and ordered him to enter his plea today in Municipal Court."
