Photograph caption dated May 27, 1957 reads, "Tim Roelen met the best milers in the city Saturday and the result was the same as it has been all season long--another first place for the star from San Fernando High. He is seen breaking the tape 60 yards ahead of the field in the new record time of 4:22.3."
