Photograph article dated December 19, 1960 partially reads, "Little Mike Elzufon of Northridge hasn't hitched his wagon to a star, but his father did attach his name to a satellite to mark the first time that a space rocket has been christened. Five pairs of Little Mike rockets today are riding high aboard the orbiting Tiros II Sky Spy weather satellite and their job is to speed it up when it slows down. These bullet-sized rocket motors are built by the U.S. Flare Division of the Atlantic Research Corp. in Saugus. They manufacture various components for every major military missile built today." Pictured are Eugene E. Elzufon, 35, and his son, Mike. Both hold Tiros II rockets which carry the boy's name.
