Title supplied by cataloger. Photo shows the front and left side of Tweedy Memorial Baptist Church, located at 9231 Hooper Avenue and E. 93rd Street in the Mid-Los Angeles area. Reverend Alfred Tweedy and some of the members from First Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church (Rev. Tweedy's former church), organized Tweedy Memorial Baptist Church in January 1983. The rectangular 2-story church is painted cream-color with a dark gray roof. A stained glass window in the form of a large cross, with four additional thin windows, are visible on the side of the church that faces Hooper Ave. The main entrance faces an ample parking lot, and a marquee listing the order of service with days and times is visible directly above. The church, as well as its surrounding parking lot, are surrounded by a tall black fence. Verso on photograph states that prior to becoming Tweedy Memorial Baptist Church, this church was formerly known as Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Photograph dated: December 2005.
