Photograph caption dated January 16, 1957 reads "Turning pages of book, 'The American Stage of Today,' Alva Holloway, ex-Indianan now residing in San Fernando, refreshes his memory of early days when he carried a spear as an extra for E. H. Sothern, noted actor, shown in publication. Now in retirement, Holloway says gold old days were great but he's happy to be in land of sunshine."
