Photograph caption dated June 18, 1963 reads "Riever Field at Palmdale High School was the scene Saturday of an Indian powwow. These Indians--among groups from 15 tribes in Southern California--are dressed in authentic costumes for dances held at the powwow in connection with Palmdale's Stagecoach Days."
