Description
This circa 1990 postcard provides a view of the Delta King, as seen from the west banks of the Sacramento River. In the background stand, left to right, the Wong Center, the California Fruit Building, and the Holiday Inn. The sternwheeler was rescued from mothballs in the Port of Richmond in 1984, and rehabilitated into a restaurant and hotel. It was moored at the base of K Street, at Old Sacramento State Historic Park in 1988.
