Photograph dated September 15, 1951 reads, "One beautiful blonde, one veteran leading man and one muscular figure--these are principals in Hollywood's hottest love triangle which erupted into a violent fist fight. Today, the leading man, Franchot Tone, is reported in 'serious' condition after being badly beaten by Tom Neal following an argument over voluptuous Barbara Payton."
