Description
Jim Vallas is the son of a Greek immigrant father. Jim was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 31, 1939. Jim's mother was born in Lowell, Massachusetts around 1916. His father was born in Kalamata, Greece around 1898. His father immigrated to the United States around 1910. He worked in the mines in Utah and Argentina, before eventually getting his United States citizenship. When he settled, he worked in a shoe repair business. Jim moved to California for work. He got a job at the Naval Supply center in San Diego. He moved to Sacramento in 1966 as a transfer to McClellan Air Force Base. He worked there until he retired in 2000.
