Description
Koula Poulos is an immigrant from Greece. She was born in a city north of Athens on April 22, 1923. She married her husband during one of his visits to Greece and then moved to the United States three months after their ceremony in 1950. Her husband was also a Greek immigrant, but had moved to the United States years earlier. Her husband owned a restaurant in Sacramento. She had her first child in 1951. While in Sacramento, Koula worked in her husband's restaurant and raised her family.
