Hollis Norton discusses his book, “How to Make It When You’re Cash Poor.” He begins by stressing the importance of having a good lawyer when a person is investing in real estate. He gives tips on how to find a good lawyer, a good accountant, and what to do about rent controls. Norton describes how to buy property with other people’s money, and what it means to be ‘cash poor.’ He recommends that property buyers ask the right questions before buying, check out the competition, and start small in investing. He ends the interview by talking about how good property investment is a skill that can be learned and has nothing to do with a person’s formal education.
