Photograph article dated July 6, 1962 reads, "At the Freedom Season Children's Parade sponsored by the Woodland Hills Junior Woman's Club, Casey the donkey led a cavalcade of costumed kiddies, clowns and marching bands down Shoup Ave. Saturday in Woodland Hills. Mrs. Owen Showalter made arrangements for the parade and the Juniors were assisted by the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce and Freedom Season Inc. The marching children received refreshments such as popsicles and ice cream bars at the conclusion of the parade." Photograph caption reads, "'There now your tie's on straight,' says Mrs. Howard Grover, member of the Woodland Hills Juniors, to son Derek, 5. Derek marched with other costumed Woodland Hills tots."
