Photograph caption dated July 22, 1965 reads, "When the San Fernando Parks and Recreation Department puts out the call for participants in a 'Pet Fair' they don't fool around. Included in the 'show-ups' at Las Palmas Park yesterday was this 2-month-old lion cub called Tawni. Here 35-pound Tawni snuggles up to her owner, Priscilla Prewill, 15, of San Fernando."
