Dixon May Fair Panel members: Gretchen Higgins, school teacher; Juanita Olivas, long-time citizen; Vernon Schmeiser, rancher; John O. Rowe, Sr., cattle/dairyman; Charles McGimsey, businessman; Jim Kilkenny, postmaster; John Campbell, president and moderator. This is a discussion and oral history of a panel of six senior citizens who were all raised in Dixon, CA. they talk about the early May Day and Dixon May Fair events. The Dixon May Day celebration began in 1885 and is known as the oldest annual event of its kind in California.
