Description
Group photograph taken outside the Akani Obio Church. The church is built from corrugated iron and has a bell tower. Many of the group gathered outside the church are dressed in white.
Akani Obio is situated in Odukpani, Cross River, Nigeria. Mary Slessor, the Scottish missionary, carried out mission work in this area and the building of the church was the outcome of a meeting between Mary Slessor and Chief Onoyom.
