McKinley Avenue Baptist Church is a large, unassuming 2-story building on the corner of McKinley Ave. and 50th Street in Los Angeles. The church is painted a light peach color with a red roof and is surrounded by a black security fence. Stairs lead to an entrance toward the left of the building, and at the center another set of stairs leads to the main entrance, which has an enormous cathedral window (not seen in this photo), and two white doors on either side, another entrance is toward the right. Verso on photograph states that in 1920 this church was known as South Park Baptist Church, and in 1945 it became Zion Hill Baptist Church; however it does not list when it acquired its current name. Photo dated: 2004.
