Interviews conducted in 1976 by Eleanor K. Glaser for the Regional Oral History Office, Bancroft Library. Copies of photographs and documentary material supporting the interviews inserted. Covers his boyhood in frontier minng town of Butte, Montana; career as a surgeon in Philadelphia, Ecuador and Berkeley. Interview also includes Emily Lewis.
