Description
Officers nabbed three persons at the Grand Avenue "dollar shop"--the proprietor, I. M. Matson; his daughter, Leah, and J. J. Pluard. Photo shows, left to right: Pluard; Dectective Lieut. R. Greenhill; Miss Matson and Matson. Addressed letters containing dollar bills were mailed after officers confiscated typwriters and a file of names. Police ordered all the "dollar shops" to close. Photo dated: May 23, 1935.
